Sonic+ (Start-up)

UI/UX designer
Sonic+ is an online grocery shopping app based in San Francisco. I worked remotely for them as a UI/UX designer (intern) for 6 months. I thrived in the fast paced-deadline driven environment and gain a lot of real-world experiences.
I contributed to all UX projects during my stay. Collaborating with my UX manager, we designed the website for Sonic+, redesigned the mobile app and the restaurant app. I also designed lots of banners, advertisements, invoices, and business PPT.
Banners
I designed banners of different special events and photoshopped products for the banners, using Photoshop, Adobe XD and Figma. Stakeholders/managers have different requirements for different kinds of special events. I transformed their requirements into reality. And when there’s room for me to play around with the design, I would combine my own aesthetic into it.
Reward System
Before, Sonic+ didn’t have a reward system. I worked with my UX manager and we designed the reward system for Sonic +. We added the sonic Point system into the app to attract more purchases in the app.
New Main Pages
In November, Sonic+ added new services. We needed to redesign our main pages. Since we need to show new services in our app, we needed to come up with a completely new navigation logic. I brainstormed with my UX manager and came up with 3 different proposals. We transformed our ideas into a low-fidelity wireframe. We incorporated stakeholders’ ideas into our design and then transformed low-fidelity wireframes into real app pages. We simplified our home page, navigation, and menu, attracting more users to purchase our new services.
Professional Business PPT
Business Invoice
In February 2021, Sonic’s business keeps expanding and we need a formal business invoice. I designed the business invoice and made sure it is clear and simple for our business partners.
Restaurant App
In February 2021, Sonic launched its new business to cooperate with restaurants. We provide the delivery system and restaurant app for the restaurants. I am designed the restaurant app with my UX manager.
Advertisement
Starting from 2021, Sonic+ decided to utilize different kinds of advertisements on the various platforms in Chinese communities to attract more downloads. I collaborated with my UX manager and communicated with the stakeholders. We transformed our stakeholders’ requirements into reality.
